Emphasize Techniques for Accurate Blood Pressure Readings

American Heart Month will put more emphasis on measuring blood pressure properly and home BP monitoring for hypertension.

Almost half of adults in the US have high BP...but many aren’t aware.  Plus errors with BP measurement are common.

Help patients check BP properly at your pharmacy.  Educate to rest for 5 minutes first...sit quietly with the back supported and feet flat on the floor...and keep the arm supported at heart level.
